   <description><![CDATA[ Put the apricots into a saucepan, and let them simmer with a little sugar for 1/2 an hour; take them off the fire and beat them with a fork. Mix with them the sponge cakes crumbled. Beat the eggs up with milk and pour it on the apricots. Pour the mixture into a wetted mould and bake in a hot oven with a cover over the mould for 1/2 an hour. 

Turn out; serve either hot or cold.

   <description><![CDATA[ Beat sugar, oil, eggs, and vanilla. Add apple with dry ingredients and mix well. Spray a two pound tin can with cooking spray or grease and flour it well. Pour batter into can, filling no more than 2/3 full. Place can in Crock Pot. Do not add water. Cover but leave cover ajar so steam can escape. Cook on high 3 1/2 to 4 hours. Don't peek before the last hour of baking. Cake is done when top is set. Let
stand in can a few minutes before tipping pudding out on a plate. Serve half-rounds plain, with whipped topping, or a pudding sauce

   <description><![CDATA[ Mix the cornmeal with enough of the cold milk to pour easily. Stir until smooth. Add slowly 2 cups scalded milk and cook in the top of a double boiler for 20 minutes, or until thick.

Add molasses, salt, sugar, cinnamon (or ginger), and butter. Pour into a buttered pudding dish and pour over the balance of the cold milk and the rum. (You may use one teaspoon cinnamon, or one teaspoon ginger,or 1/2 teaspoon of each.)

Set in a pan of hot water and bake 3 hours in a 250-degree oven. Let stand 1/2 hour before serving.

Serve topped with vanilla ice cream. This pudding should be very soft, and should whey, or separate.

   <description><![CDATA[ Put a quart of pared and quartered apples into a stewpan, with half a
cupful of water and cook them until they are soft. Remove from the
fire and add half a cupful of sugar, two tablespoonfuls of butter and
the grated rind and the juice of a lemon. Have ready mixed two cupfuls
of grated bread crumbs and two tablespoonfuls of flour; add this also
to the apple mixture, after which stir in two well-beaten eggs. Turn
all into a well-buttered pudding-dish and bake forty-five minutes in a
moderate oven. Serve with sugar and cream or hard sweet sauce.
